This is more than an economically-priced
vacation in a beautiful spot. The benefits continue after you return home with
new musicianship and inspiration in your mountain dulcimer playing.
The week is produced by nationally known mountain
dulcimer pioneer, author and performer Lois Hornbostel. If you have attended
the mountain dulcimer weeks Lois has produced in the past 23 years at
universities in Boone and Cullowhee, NC, you know the quality, energy and
innovation her events have always had. This new independent dulcimer week
offers financial and creative freedom to produce an improved program with more
innovative possibilities. The location is idyllic yet easy to reach, and offers
us just the right setting to interact more as a community. Hence, the name, "DULCIMERVILLE"!
